When you purchase something from my store, as part of the buying and selling process, I collect personal information you give such as your name, address, email address and the details of the product you are ordering. When providing this personal information to me to complete a transaction it implies that you consent to me collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information for custom/ bespoke orders (if you choose to contact me directly), customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies.
Why I need Your Information and How I use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information including:
- as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support

I may share your information with logistics providers, such as Royal Mail, but only to process and deliver your order
I will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies or any third parties outside of Rebecca Handy Jewellery (Handmade by Rebecca Handy)
In processing your order, I may send your details to, and also use information from credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies. (please see further details in the Payment and PayPal section below)

Big Cartel
My store is hosted by Big Cartel. They provide me with the online e-commerce platform that allows me to sell my products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Big Cartel's data storage, databases and the general Big Cartel application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
Payment & PayPal
Orders are paid via PayPal. I share information with PayPal as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under PayPal's term of use. Because PayPal is used as the primary method of payment I do not see any of your financial information once a purchase is made.
Your data is protected by PayPal's privacy policy I recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by this provider.
Data Retention
I retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide you with the services as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for 6 years, the time period UK tax law currently specifies for accounting purposes.
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of you minor dependents to use this site.
Marketing
I would like to send you information about Rebecca Handy Jewellery such as news, products and services which may be of interest to you, but this will only be done if you have provided you consent at an event or a sign-up form via my website or associated social media page such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
